New Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1

Motorola has sold only 100,000 of these Android 3.0-powered devices, according to estimates by Deutsche Bank, reported by Business Insider.

Pacific Crest analyst James Faucette released a research note on Tuesday that says the Xoom's sales "have been disappointing."

While Apple hasn't yet released iPad 2 sales figures, analysts trumpeted the device's successful first weekend, and sales have reportedly remained strong. Most estimates from the iPad 2's first weekend fall between 350,000 to 400,000.

According to Forbes, Faucette also announced similar results for the Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone, which can dock with a laptop and costs about $500 with the unique connector included. Faucette suggested that the Atrix's relatively high price point may be holding it back.

What Does your E-mail Add Say About You

AOL users are most likely to be overweight women ages 35-64 who have a high school diploma and are spiritual, but not religious. They tend to be politically middle of the road, in a relationship of 10+ years, and have children. AOL users live in the suburbs and haven’t traveled outside their own country. Family is their first priority. AOL users mostly read magazines, have a desktop computer, listen to the radio, and watch TV on 1-3 DVRs in their home. At home, they lounge around in sweats. AOL users are optimistic extroverts who prefer sweet snacks and like working on a team.

Gmail users are most likely to be thin young men ages 18-34 who are college-educated and not religious. Like other young Hunch users, they tend to be politically liberal, single (and ready to mingle), and childless. Gmail users live in cities and have traveled to five or more countries. They’re career-focused and plugged in — they mostly read blogs, have an iPhone and laptop, and listen to music via MP3s and computers (but they don’t have a DVR). At home, they lounge around in a t-shirt and jeans. Gmail users prefer salty snacks and are introverted and entrepreneurial. They are optimistic or pessimistic, depending on the situation.

Hotmail users are most likely to be young women of average build ages 18-34 (and younger) who have a high school diploma and are not religious. They tend to be politically middle of the road, single, and childless. Hotmail users live in the suburbs, perhaps still with their parents, and have traveled to up to five countries. They mostly read magazines and contemporary fiction, have a laptop, and listen to music via MP3s and computers (but they don’t have a DVR). At home, Hotmail users lounge around in a t-shirt and jeans. They’re introverts who prefer sweet snacks and like working on a team. They consider themselves more pessimistic, but sometimes it depends on the situation.

Yahoo! users are most likely to be overweight women ages 18-49 who have a high school diploma and are spiritual, but not religious. They tend to be politically middle of the road, in a relationship of 1-5 years, and have children. Yahoo! users live in the suburbs or in rural areas and haven’t traveled outside their own country. Family is their first priority. They mostly read magazines, are almost equally likely to have a laptop or desktop computer, listen to the radio and cds, and watch TV on 1-2 DVRs in their home. At home, Yahoo! users lounge around in pajamas. They’re extroverts who prefer sweet snacks and like working on a team. Yahoo! users are optimistic or pessimistic, depending on the situation.

Lady Gaga New Edorsement with Polaroid

Lady Gaga is frequently seen in impractical eye-wear, so it's not surprising sunglasses were included in the line. The shades, known as the GL20, are able to take and display photos on the exterior of the lenses via LED screens. They also include a USB earpiece which allows the images to be sent to a wireless printer via Bluetooth. The glasses will be available later this year for a price not yet determined.

The other two items are likely to have more appeal to the mass market. The GL10 is a new mobile printer which uses ZINK Zero Ink Technology and can print 3 x 4 inch photographs in 40 seconds. The printer will be available in May for $149.99. The GL30 is a familiar-looking Polaroid camera, able to take and print photos like the traditional model, as well as save them digitally. The camera will be available later this year, price not yet determined.

New Tablet PC from Blackberry-Playbook

I've always said once you go Blackberry u can't go back.

The company that gave us the BlackBerry - still the dominant phone in corporate circles - thinks its business customers will have room in their briefcases for at least one more device: the PlayBook.

Research in Motion Ltd. showed off the tablet for the first time Monday and is set to launch it early 2011, with an international rollout later in the year. With it RIM is betting on a smaller, lighter device than Apple Inc.'s iPad, which kicked-started the tablet market when it launched in April.

The PlayBook will have a 7-inch screen, making it half the size of the iPad, and weigh about 400 grams (14 ounces) to the iPad's 680 grams (1.5 pounds). And unlike the iPad, it will have two cameras, front and back.

The PlayBook will be able to act as a second, larger screen for a BlackBerry phone, through a secure short-range wireless link. When the connection is severed - perhaps because the user walks away with the phone - no sensitive data like company e-mails are left on the tablet. Outside of Wi-Fi range, it will be able to pick up cellular service to access the Web by linking to a BlackBerry.

But the tablet will also work as a standalone device. RIM co-Chief Executive Jim Balsillie said its goal is to present the full Web experience of a computer, including the ability to display Flash, Adobe Systems Inc.'s format for video and interactive material on the Web. That means the tablet will be less dependent on third-party applications or "apps," Balsillie said.

"I don't need to download a YouTube app if I've got YouTube on the Web," said Balsillie, who leads the company along with co-CEO Mike Lazaridis.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs has resisted allowing Flash on any of the company's mobile gadgets, arguing the software has too many bugs and sucks too much battery life.
Story continues below

"Much of the market has been defined in terms of how you fit the Web to mobility," Balsillie said. "What we're launching is really the first mobile product that is designed to give full Web fidelity."
