Grand jury indicts Lil Boosie for first-degree murder

An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury indicted Torrence Hatch, otherwise known as "Lil-Boosie," for first-degree murder Thursday afternoon.
The 27-year-old Baton Rouge rapper is accused in the Oct. 21 shooting death of Terry Boyd. He is already in prison for a probation violation. District Attorney Hillar Moore said if Hatch is convicted of first-degree murder the death penalty is not out of the question.
Hatch was also indicted on drug charges Thursday. He faces three counts of possession with intent to distribute codeine, ecstasy and marijuana. He was also indicted on three counts of conspiracy to commit possession with intent to distribute narcotics and two counts of conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution.
Michael Louding, 17, and Adrian Pittman, 36, were also indicted for first-degree murder in Boyd's death. According to detectives, the 35-year-old was shot to death while inside his home on Vermillion Drive in Baton Rouge. They said the shots were fired from the outside through a window.
Another man, Reginald Youngblood, 32, was arrested and indicted in connection with a double murder and two other shootings in which the victims survived.
Charles Matthews and Darryl Milton were gunned down on April 1 while sitting in a car on Monte Sano Avenue in Baton Rouge. A man was shot in the back through a window while inside his home on Feb. 22. A different man was shot outside that same home as he was getting out of his car on March 6. The bullet hit his wrist.
A task force was formed to investigate multiple shootings, many of them deadly, in the Baton Rouge area over the past two years. These indictments are part of that investigation.
Seven men were indicted on June 7. Both Louding and Pittman were included in that round of formal charges against some of the suspected killers.
Hatch's girlfriend, Walnita Decuir, faces the same drug charges he does. The 25-year-old lived with Hatch before he was sent to Hunt Correctional Institute in St. Gabriel. She surrendered Friday to authorities.
Two other men were also indicted in the same drug investigation. Joshua Wilson, 27, was a guard at the prison. He was arrested Thursday and faces one count of conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution.
Stacy Riley, 36, is an inmate at the prison. His charges are the same as Hatch's and Decuir's, except he only faces one count of conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution, instead of two.
Hatch pleaded guilty to drug and gun charges in September. East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputies reportedly seized a bag of marijuana, a cigar with marijuana in it and a gun from his car.
A judge sentenced him to two years in prison. He did not have to report to prison right away. District Court Judge Chip Moore revoked Hatch's probation a month later, sending him straight to jail on Nov. 9.
Hatch was on house arrest with an ankle monitor. The monitor indicated on more than one occasion, he had violated the terms of his release.
Moore doubled Hatch's original sentence and ordered him to spend four years in prison.

WASHINGTON — Radio One Inc., an owner of radio stations targeting African-American listeners, said Wednesday it is refinancing its debt and raising its stake in TV One LLC.
The company said it has obtained a new senior secured credit facility, with a $50 million revolving credit facility and a $350 million term loan. It will use the proceeds to refinance all outstanding debt. Affiliates of Deutsche Bank will provide the revolving loan, and the bank will make efforts to syndicate the term loan.
Radio One said it is also offering to exchange senior debt that was set to expire in 2011 and 2013. The company said it is offering to exchange $1,000 worth of outstanding 8 7/8 percent senior subordinated notes due 2011 for $1,000 worth of newly issued 11 percent senior grid notes due 2017. It will is also offering to exchange $1,000 worth of outstanding 6 3/8 percent senior subordinated notes due 2013 for $900 worth of the same newly issued notes.
The company also said it will offer holders of existing notes who participate in the exchange offer the opportunity to buy a total of $100 million of 8.5 percent/9 percent second-priority senior secured grid notes due 2016. Radio One said it will use the proceeds to pay about $82 million for 19 percent of TV One. Radio One already owns about 37 percent of TV One.
Radio One said holders of about 80 percent of the existing senior notes have agreed to the offerings. At least 95 percent of note holders must tender the notes for the deal to go through.
Shares of Radio One rose 4 cents to close at $2.77.

Drake Concert cancelled NYPD " crowd was to big " ,Daaaah the Show was Free

Just got home from the craziness at South Street Seaport where a free Drake show turned into a mini-riot before Drizzy could even arrive. While it’s always fun to blame everything on po-po, I really think they had no choice. After a hour and a half of kids standing on top of each other with no action or no music playin’, things were bound to go left. And they really did! Craziest moment: I think I saw someone toss a table from the top of Uno’s into the masses. Anyways, here’s Mr. Graham’s official statement on the matter:
“I am humbled by the crowd that showed up in support of my performance and the release of Thank Me Later. I love performing for my fans but unfortunately the show was canceled by the NYPD due to over crowding, leaving me without the chance to give my fans a real show. I’m thankful for the support that the fans have been giving me… I thank you now.”

Kathy Griffin vs Elisabeth Hasselbeck
If you missed the explosive daytime television showdown between “Life on the D List” star Kathy Griffin, and conservative idiot Elizabeth Hasselbeck you’re lucky I got you. Griffiin, wasted no time in lighting into Hasslebeck once her visit to the show started to turn ugly.
You said things about people here that are a) untrue and b) not so funny. So, do you ever feel weird, like, then coming here and sitting here and promoting things?” Hasselbeck asked.
“Actually,” Griffin said. “this moment is what I live for, so bring it!”
Watch the video above. It was so great to watch live. When will people learn that you CAN’T win with one that doesn’t give a f*ck.
Seattle Officer Punches Woman In Face, Claims Woman Was “Verbally Antagonistic”
The Seattle Police is ONCE again the topic of discussion over a recent video that’s surfaced showing an officer punching an African-American women in the face over an apparent gross violation of the law. She jaywalked.
Reports suggest, the officer, who I predict will be fired by the end of the week, asked a group of young ladies over to his patrol car, at which point they became “verbally antagonistic.”
One girl allegedly tried to walk away, and the officer grabbed her to escort her back to his patrol car; the other girl then attempted to separate the officer and the girl. So the officer punched her.
However, if being physically assaulted by an officer of the law, in a city where local authorities are increasingly showing a disregard for young black people, check out the DISGUSTING comments in youtube.com.
After at least 300 years of captivity, oppression, racism and repeatedly being treated like second class citizens in a country that was built on the back of slaves, and it appears that for every step we take forward we take two steps back.
Comments like, “That b*tch deserved it for not being in the kitchen,” and, “N*gger’s should listen to the white man! And do what they are told!!! it should be like the old days!!” are truly shameless.
While there’s no video showing what lead up this event, an officer of the law punching a women in the face, when there was no visible physical threat, in my eyes makes this entire situation inexcusable
