They find that there’s so many parallels between painting and rapping. Nas says he feels like he needs to always do the unexpected and is always trying to do something different with his music. He mentions drawing inspirations from everyday conversations and art. He concludes by revealing that he always envied the painter’s life.

Rihanna's 'Loud' tour brings in $90 Million Dollars

Rihanna worked her tail off in 2011 and it paid off big time. The singer's "Loud" tour grossed an incredible $90 million dollars, placing it at No. 9 among all tours for the year.

John Legend Engaged 2 Chrissy Teigen

Over the past four years, John Legend and his model girlfriend Chrissy Teigen have been spotted at events and red carpets across the country, and over the holidays Legend made the union official by proposing to Teigen. The couple confirmed the news in a statement to People. "John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives," a rep confirmed.

People reports that while little else is known about how they celebrated the good news, Legend will be in Las Vegas this weekend performing at the Pearl at the Palms on New Year's Eve.

"We validate or shut down whatever each of us is doing," Legend told People in May about how the pair help style one another. "[It's] all of the time. We were together when we picked out our clothes today. She's better [at it]. It's harder to dress a woman — there are so many options and accessories. For guys we only have so many elements."

The couple began dating in 2007. Teigen is best known for her work as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. It's a big week for Legend, who will also celebrate his birthday Wednesday.
The 32-year-old performer is current recording material for his upcoming fifth studio album.

Floyd Mayweather gets 90 days in jail

Floyd Mayweather is heading to jail after pleading guilty Wednesday in Las Vegas Justice Court to misdemeanor battery domestic violence and harassment charges.

Mayweather was sentenced to six months in Clark County jail, but three months of the sentence was suspended. He must surrender to authorities on Jan. 6, 2012.

The 34-year-old boxer had agreed to a plea deal to avoid trial on felony allegations that he battered his three children and their mother, Josie Harris. He must also pay a $2,500 fine, complete 100 hours of community service in addition to a 12-month domestic-violence counseling class.

“One unique aspect of this case that I think is different than many others that I see on a regular basis is the extent to which this happened in front of children old enough to understand what’s happening,” Judge Melissa Saragosa told Mayweather immediately before handing down the sentence. “These were not infants. These were children in the report listed as 11 and 9 years old.”

RICK ROSS SOUTH AFRICA VLOG PART 2

Democratic Republic Of Congo Bans Text Messaging!!

Deaf people in the Democratic Republic of Congo say a ban on texting threatens their lives because they no longer receive warnings of violence.
The government banned SMS messages more than a week ago to preserve “public order” following disputed elections.
President Joseph Kabila was declared the winner, but his main rival, Etienne Tshisekedi, rejected the result.
There are an estimated 1.4 million deaf people in DR Congo, which is recovering from years of conflict.
Last month’s elections were the second since the 1998-2003 war which claimed about four million lives.
Four people were killed in the capital, Kinshasa, after Mr Kabila’s victory was announced. He is due to be inaugurated for a second term next week.
The official results gave him 49% of the vote against 32% for Mr Tshisekedi.
The opposition says they plan to organise mass protests, alleging the polls had been rigged.
‘Disturbing’
“Since 3 December, we’ve been unhappy,” said Pastor Kisangala, the deaf community’s religious minister in the capital, Kinshasa.
“We’re finding it very hard to communicate. All our communications used to go through SMS messages,” he says.
I met him as a centre for deaf and mute people in Kinshasa that I had visited to guage reactions to the election.
A group of friends at the centre kept giving their SMS service another try, switching on their mobile phones, typing a message, hitting send… but transmission still failed.
Interior Minister Adolphe Lumanu said he had been “forced to suspend all cellular [mobile phone] text messaging services to preserve public order” because they had been used to “incite ethnic hatred, insurrection and xenophobia” around the 28 November presidential and parliamentary elections.
The measure means deaf Congolese people have been condemned to indefinite isolation.
“Our members are scattered across the city, some are ill in hospital, others are dying. Without communication we don’t even know about it,” Mr Kisangala said.
“Few of them have been coming here, whereas with text messages, many used to come to church here on a Sunday.”
As electoral violence spread across Kinshasa in the days following the election, deaf people could not hear gunfire and were dependent on family and friends to tell them when it was safe to go out.
“When shooting started in the city I wanted to contact those who were sleeping here and tell them not to go out,” said Freddy Mata, the co-ordinator of a cultural centre for deaf people.
“I tried to contact them but messages didn’t go through. Then I remembered text messaging had been suspended. It was very disturbing.”
Essential tool
The community groups who support deaf people have been losing touch with each other.
Four people were killed in Kinshasa after results were declared
The president of the Deaf People’s Association in Kinshasa, Ngoy Mwanza, said he only heard about a deaf person being beaten up during electoral turmoil several days after the incident.

The Dark Knight Rises

8 years after the Dark Night and the death of the Joker and Harvey Dent, a time of peace in Gotham has given its population a false sense of security. Police Commissioner Gordon is on his way out, while a new menace awaits to strike fear into the heart of a peaceful Gotham City.

A new masked villain named Bane appears, a clear contrast to the Joker, as he is cold, calculating, and is seen destroying a whole football stadium mid game, then releasing and arming prisoners with automatic weapons.
This action packed trailer further solidifies the Dark Knight franchise as the best in modern comic films, and Christopher Nolan as the genre's premier director. Personally, I can't wait! In Theatres July 2012
