Diddy 2 Launch Music-Themed Cable Network
Diddy will be bringing a new cable network to the airwaves by the end of 2012.
BroadcastingCable.com is reporting that the business mogul will be launching Revolt, a music-themed cable channel on December 12, 2012.
Programming on the new network will be geared toward African American audiences. In addition to music, the network will also cover some news-related stories.
Former MTV programming chief Andy Schuon is part of the project, according to the report.
Distribution will be provided by cable giant Comcast as part of its commitment to the FCC to help launch minority owned networks. Additional distribution is being provided by Time Warner. The new network will be able to reach 18 million households.
