Beyonce Talks about Blue Ivy & Singing 4 Her

Beyoncé helped Anderson Cooper kick off the new season of his talk show “Anderson Live” on Monday. During a sit-down interview at the United Nations General Assembly Hall last month, a beaming B discussed the joys of raising her 8-month-old daughter Blue Ivy.

While Jay-Z was in Texas for SXSW, his mother-in-law Tina Knowles helped look after her granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter. The paparazzi clamored to get a shot of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s two-month-old daughter as her mother and grandmother took her out for a stroll around Manhattan on Monday. Wearing a wide-brimmed hat, blazer, patterned trousers, and loafers, the always chic Beyoncé held Blue close to her chest in a carrier with her legs dangling out. Just the night before, Beyoncé and Jay-Z snuck out to catch The-Dream’s “Kill the Lights” show in New York City.

J. Cole’s “Work Out” Goes Platinum; Blue Ivy Carter Breaks A Record

It’s a good week for the folks over there at Roc Nation….and their seeds. J. Cole announced his good news earlier today, tweeting that the lead single “Work Out” from his debut album has been officially certified platinum. And that’s not all. Proud papa Jay-Z’s ode to his baby girl that featured lil’ Blue herself has already charted on Billboard‘s R&B/Hip-Hop chart at number 74, making her the youngest person ever to make the charts. How cool!

The Famous Couple spent a million dollars to close of a floor @ the hospital where Blue IVY Carter was born, TMZ is reporting, Beyonce finally popped, giving birth to a baby girl named Blue Ivy Carter in New York City on Saturday Proud dad Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, was at the hospital where Beyonce reportedly birthed Ivy by c-section — and shortly after her arrival … J & B’s famous friends started sending out birth announcements on the Internet. Rihanna tweeted, “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih” Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons also took to Twitter, saying … “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.” Beyonce famously announced her pregnancy on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards back in August.

According to our sources, the hospital held a meeting leading up to the delivery to discuss a security plan for the birth. We're told the meeting between execs and security was held Friday afternoon and strict security was in place almost immediately, preparing for Beyonce's late night delivery. The goal, keeping Beyonce's delivery under wraps, succeeded admirably -- no pictures of Bey or hubby Jay-Z entering or exiting the hospital have emerged ... and she hasn't been seen at all since Thursday.
